I went to the Salt premiere a few weeks ago and I saw Angelina Jolie – she was right next to me - I was quite star struck haha!  The film was amazing, you should all go and see it.  I’ve also been spending a lot of time in Jersey recording – it is also a beautiful place.  Last week was very exciting as it was the photoshoot for the album cover!!  I was sooo nervous but we got some brilliant pictures. I can’t wait for you all to see them. We were hoping for sunshine for the shoot but instead we got gale force winds and torrential rain…but we carried on and had a fantastic day and all turned out well. 

This week is the video shoot for this first single. I’m ecstatic and can’t wait to get performing again!  I can’t wait for you all to hear the album and I hope to see you all soon.

How are you all?!  I’ve had a great few weeks.  It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and I had a great day.  I had a party back up in Newcastle with all my friends and family.  We all went to a restaurant and had so much fun, it was great to spend some quality time with everyone. I would like to say a massive Thank You to everyone that sent so many lovely presents and cards - I loved them all. 

I went to see Leona at the O2 arena in London which was fantastic!! And, then AGAIN in Newcastle - her voice is absolutely amazing. It made me want to just get onstage and sing haha!! Last week I sang at an event in Scotland organised by The Sun’s Gordan Smart.  The sun was shining and once again I was stuck in a boiling hot marquee haha!!  We had so much fun and the crowd were very supportive!!

So after many many meetings and discussions about the album, we’re now soooo close to recording and I’m very excited! I cant wait for you all to hear it when it’s finished. 

Some of you may have heard that I am now an Ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust. I’m so honoured to be a part of this charity – they do brilliant work across the country. and I want to help out as much as I can to support them. I’m also going to be running the Great North Run in September for the TCT which will be an experience! I haven’t really begun full training yet so I need to get started!!

I also went to New York which was amazing!!! I ate lots of food - the pretzels are huge and taste incredible lol!  I also ran in Central Park and felt like I was in a film haha!!  We had a very exciting meeting about the album - can’t wait to tell you all about it!!  I also managed to see a Taylor Swift concert and met her backstage.

Last week I performed at Radio One’s Big Weekend which was very surreal after watching it for so long on TV and listening to it on the radio.  I sang two tracks in the Live Lounge tent which was boiling!!  I could hardly breathe it was that hot. I then performed on the 5:19 stage which was on a open top bus - it was sooo cool!  I managed to catch up with Cheryl just before she did her set on stage and I met Diana Vickers and Kelly Rowland who were both so nice.

Just the other day I met the producer of my album - I was ecstatic but I can’t reveal who it is just yet!!  Can’t wait to tell you all. I’ve just been camping in the Lake District which was great except that the weather was bad but never mind!!

With Taylor Swift

Firstly,my family and I made it to the hotel and met with Joe’s manager! Joe was running a little bit late. I didn’t mind as I was still in shock that I was actually going to be meeting him!  About half an hour later Joe came down in the lift and headed straight to the restaurant to meet me and my family! When we went into the restaurant Joe kindly came over to me, hugged me and congratulated me on winning the competition. After hugging me, Joe hugged and welcomed my family, including my 3 year old niece! Once we had all had a little cuddle with Joe, he introduced us to his mum Eileen!

While we were chilling in the hotel restaurant we ordered a drink and had a chat! After our little chat Joe, Eileen and myself said goodbye to my family and headed upstairs in the hotel to get ready for the filming of ‘An Audience with Michael Buble’. I was left with the make-up artist while Joe went and got himself ready! After 15 minutes my hair and make-up was done and Joe returned to my room!

We were all ready to set off to the London studio’s where the filming was being held. On the way to the studio, Joe and I were having a good chat in the car. Once we arrived at the studio, there was a crowd of screaming fans! Joe went to sign a few autographs, and pose for a few pictures while me and Joe’s manager stepped aside. Once we had walked the remainder of the Red Carpet we entered the studio.

After we got to the studio and collected our VIP passes we went into a little room where we met a few people. We were in the little room for about 5 minutes and then we headed upstairs to Michael Buble’s dressing room. Joe went into Michael Buble’s room for a quick chat while I waited outside. Two minutes later Joe came out and we headed into the studio and were seated. While we were walking to our seats, we saw Lemar and many other famous people!

We were in the filming for a couple of hours, but it was the funniest couple of hours of my life! Michael buble is so funny! Also, it was lovely to be there with Joe McElderry! I still can’t believe I went to a filming with Joe McElderry! OMG!

Once the filming had finished Joe and I went up to the VIP party where we met a lot more famous people including Stacey Solomon, Dermot O’Leary and Chipmunk! It was amazing! We stayed at the party for about half an hour and then decided to head back to the hotel. On the way out we met Michael Buble and had a few pictures and said goodbye! When we arrived back at the hotel unfortunately Joe had to go to bed as he had a busy day ahead of him! So had to say thank you for such a fabulous day and goodbyes which was hard, but had to be done!

Overall my day with Joe was long and tiring, but well worth it! Defiantly a day to remember! In the words of Joe ‘things like this don’t happen to people like me’ and I am very grateful and this day will stick with me for the rest of my life.

Sorry it’s been a while.  I finally got back from Cyprus after being stuck there for four extra days.

I’m writing this from London as I’m down for a few meetings.  On Monday night, I went to see ‘An Audience with Michael Buble’ where Michael performed a set of his songs to a studio audience for a show on the telly.  I took along one of my fans Sophie who was lovely.  It was great to spend some quality time with her and we had a brilliant night.  We both had a chat with Michael also which was great.

Yesterday I did a photoshoot for a fashion magazine.  It’s fun to try on different clothes and pose for the camera – I’ll let you know when the photos come out!

Tonight we’re going to see Cheryl and the Black Eyed Peas at The O2 – can’t wait!!

Hope you all get tickets to the Radio One’s Big Weekend as I’d love to see you all there.

Also I want to say thank you to everyone who entered the ‘Win a day’ with me competition!  Congratulations to Sophie!  So sorry we won’t be able to go to the premiere tomorrow but we will do something else that’s fun really soon!  When I eventually get back…ha ha!  For everyone else, we’ll do more competitions on the website soon so make sure you’re signed up to hear about this stuff as soon as it’s announced! Can’t wait to get into the studio and record the album…it’s all getting very exciting!!

We’re in Glasgow and it’s the last day of the tour - I can’t believe it’s nearly all over.  I’ve had such an amazing time over the last few months and it’s been great to visit so many cities and meet so many of you! I also wanted to say thank you so much for all of my Easter eggs…I’ve received so many at the hotel! Happy Easter everyone!

I’m now back in Cardiff which is great and we are going to Newcastle tomorrow.  I’m so excited about performing at home again!!  Can’t wait to see everyone in the audience!  It’s amazing to think we only have a week left on tour.  I’ve had so much fun performing every night so thank you to everyone for the support!

I also went to the Children’s Champion’s awards last week and met so many brave and inspirational children - it was a very emotional night. I also got to meet Sharon Osbourne and we had a chat about X-Factor…she was so lovely. I’m still having so much fun on the tour.  The audiences have been fantastic so thank you to everyone who has been and I look forward to seeing everyone who has not see it yet.

I’m sitting here in Cardiff Arena…the show has just started and I can’t wait to go out and do my set again!!!.

Sorry I’ve not written a blog for a while but I’ve been really busy travelling around on the tour. I’m having so much fun and it’s great being back with everyone and performing together. I would like to say a big Thank You to everyone that came to the shows in Liverpool, Birmingham, Wembley and Cardiff - the support means so much!!. I’m counting the days to Newcastle…so excited to play in my hometown.  All those who have not seen the tour yet, I really hope you enjoy it and looking forward to seeing you all in the audience.

I can’t believe the tour has finally started. I’m here in Liverpool and its great to finally be out on the road meeting fans and catching up with everyone from the show. I’ve just finished the dress rehearsal and it’s looking great and now we have to do the performance in front of lots of people tonight!!! Sorry it’s been a while.  It’s been a fun couple of weeks for me. I got to record my part on the Helping Haiti - Everybody hurts charity single.  I still can’t believe that I’m on the same record as people like Mariah, Rod Stewart and Leona, it’s such an honour!  I also got to see Westlife again which was nice. I really do hope though that it will help lots of people in Haiti.  Please please please buy a copy of the single when it comes out.  It’s for a great cause and we all need to help Haiti as much as we can.

Yesterday, we filmed my part of the video.  The director is amazing and I got to watch some of the footage that the other singers had shot before me – Cheryl, Kylie and Westlife – it looked fantastic.  Also, I got to meet Mika as I was leaving the studio - he was just arriving to do his bit!

I went to see Wicked yesterday at the Apollo Theatre.  I love that musical – it’s so clever.  And, I got to meet the cast after the show – they were lovely!

Right now, I’m sitting at the rehearsal studios for the X-Factor tour.  I’m just on a quick break and we’ve gone through my set for the first time.  I am so excited!  You guys are going to love it!  I meet up with the other contestants next week – can’t wait to catch up with everyone.

Not long until the Brits now…I’m still soooo excited that I’ve been nominated – I can’t believe it. Thank you for all the support and helping me get a nomination for the Brits. You can still VOTE NOW!

I went to the National Television Awards this week which was fantastic. I had such a good time! Being able to do the red carpet was so surreal and the atmosphere was great. To be able to perform at the O2 and especially opening the show was just crazy and it was the best feeling being up on that stage performing in an arena!...It was good practise for the XF tour next month!

It was also great to catch up with John and Edward and to see their performance which was so entertaining. Also, I managed to catch up with everyone from the X-Factor and I’m so happy that they won the award. To be able to catch up with the judges was brilliant too. I met lots of TV personalities like Joanna Lumley, Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan, Arlene Phillips and of course, Vanilla Ice!! Haha!

Lots of people were asking me last night about being nominated for a Brit Award. Well, I can’t believe it! I was so excited and honoured when I saw my name come up on the nominations when I was watching it on the telly! I can’t believe the other artists who are in the same category as me and its just amazing to now be nominated for a Brit Award is really surreal!

Anyway, I’m in the studio for a bit today and then I head off back home to Newcastle. Cant wait to get started for the X-Factor Tour rehearsals – I can’t wait!

I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

I went skiing for the New Year in Austria I had a brill time… but it was very cold!! I actually do think there was more snow in England though!!. 

I’ve been home for a couple of weeks and recharged the batteries and caught up with all the family after a busy couple of months. Can’t wait for this year and SOOO excited to start working on the album!!. Got the X Factor tour coming up in a couple of weeks too which is going to be amazing. Hope to cya all there !!

I just want to take this time to say thank you to everybody for all their support throughout the show and for helping me to get to the final three! Since July, everything has been a bit of a blur to me and it has not really sunk in, but it’s the most amazing feeling to have made it this far.

I have had the best time on the show and cannot wait to get on the stage again this weekend to sing with a true legend, George Michael!

I can’t believe I have made it this far and I’ve had the best team around me. Cheryl has been amazing and has really given me the confidence and support all the way. I’m very nervous this week and actually quite sad to think it’s coming to the end of the show, but it’s going to be a great weekend and I really wish Olly and Stacey the best of luck too. They have been great throughout the show and I’m very happy to be in the final with them.
